Herrick & Salsbury Inc. was commissioned by the Bakeman family to survey and divide a piece of land in Brooksville. Part of the property contained a beautiful sand beach that historically been used by the community for recreational uses including swimming, sunbathing, fishing and kayaking. The beach, locally known as Bakeman Beach, was going to be given to the town. Prior to giving the beach to the town, a survey was needed to document the boundaries of the parcel. Working as a team with the Bakeman family and the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Herrick & Salsbury Inc. completed the survey and the land is now owned by the town to secure future public access to the shore.
