Communication Facilities
Communication facilities are routinely surveyed by Herrick & Salsbury, Inc. These types of facilities can include remote outlets, signal boosters, cellular communication towers, microwave relay towers, radio or television transmission towers, and rooftop antenna lease surveys.
Many times, communication facilities involve the leasing of land or a rooftop lease. We assist clients by defining the lease boundaries, access and utility easements, and communication closet leasing inside a building. We will also provide FAA certification on antenna heights with an FCC 1A or FAA 2C certificate for the facility.
Co-location tower site surveys, tower as-built surveys, new site surveys, tower title review surveys, and tower ALTA surveys are also services we provide.

Tower Surveys
Tower surveys are another service provided by Herrick & Salsbury, Inc. This includes site acquisition surveys, lease lot surveys, access, and utility easement surveys. Typically we will provide an FCC 1A or FAA 2C certificate for the facility once the tower placement location has been determined.
As-Built Tower Surveys
As-built tower surveys are usually requested by clients when re-negotiating a lease with a landowner or selling the facility to a new owner. We will take the metes and bounds description in the existing lease and compare the lease boundaries with what actually exists. Many times we find compound expansions outside the lease boundaries, access, and utilities outside the defined easement, and encroachments of others onto the exclusive lease areas.
Our plans will clearly show any discrepancies found during the course of our survey, locate any exceptions in the title policy, and will show the improvements within the leased or owned area. Typically we will provide an FCC 1A or FAA 2C certificate for the facility as part of our service.
